Design WWDACT’s Annual Magazine ‘Chronic Mischief’ Issue No. 2 (Paid Opportunity)
WWDACT’s Engagement Team is looking for someone with Graphic Design experience to design the next layout and spread for WWDACT’s Annual Magazine. This will be Issue no. 2 of ‘Chronic Mischief’. Last year Chronic Mischief Issue no. 1 was designed in house. This time we are looking to subcontract a freelance designer to do this.
We welcome Expressions of Interest from both experienced designers and emerging designers. Please feel encouraged to submit an EOI even if it is your first time charging for your work.

We are hiring for 2 new positions to support some new projects in 2026 and 2027!
The Neurodivergent Parent Group Facilitator is an identified position for a neurodivergent woman or non-binary person with disabilities, with experience as a parent. The new Facilitator will facilitate and plan the new monthly event for neurodivergent parents. They will foster supportive discussion, experience and skill sharing between attendees. They will also research existing support services available and share these with the Group. The role is for 6 hours per week.
The Policy and Project Officer is an identified position for a neurodivergent woman or non-binary person with disabilities. The key focus of this role is to support the WWDACT Policy team with their advocacy and project work for women, non-binary and gender diverse people with disabilities. This includes supporting delivery of projects including an annual Symposium for neurodivergent people with disabilities. The role is for 14 hours per week.

- Apply for the Lived Experience Panel – Sexual Health Project
WWDACT is looking for 5 women and gender diverse people with disabilities to join a new Lived Experience Panel. The Panel is part of a new project WWDACT is doing with Women’s Health Matters to scope sexual health, information and education services available to women with disabilities in the ACT.
Who is eligible to be on the panel?
To be on the Panel you must be:
- A woman, non-binary and/or gender diverse person
- A person with disabilities / disabled person
- Living, studying, working or accessing health services in the ACT
- 18 years or older
The Panel is open to anyone who identifies as a person with disabilities or disabled person. You do not need a diagnosis in order to be eligible for the Panel.
We try to ensure our Panel represents a diverse range of experiences. Everybody is welcome to apply! However, we especially encourage applications from the following groups:
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Older person
- Person with an intellectual disability
- LGBTQIA+
- Transgender, non-binary and/or gender diverse
- Culturally and linguistically diverse and/or a Person of Colour
- Detainee
- Unpaid carer
- Temporary visa / asylum seeker
What does the Panel do?
The Lived Experience Panel will give accountability and advice to the project team that is conducting the project. The Panel will ensure that oversight of the project has input from people with disabilities.
If you are on the panel we may ask you to share your experience of:
- Attempting to access sexual health services in the ACT
- Attempting to access sexual health information and/or education in the ACT
Members of the Lived Experience Panel may be asked to:
- Review our proposed consultation and scoping approach
- Give feedback on our approach to consultation to ensure we are reflecting the diverse needs and priorities of the disability community
- Give feedback on our consultation findings and the themes we identified
- Give feedback on the draft report and recommendations
You don’t have to have experience or extensive knowledge in order to apply! We will support you to give feedback on the project.
How do we choose our members?
We will aim to maintain a diverse range of lived experience on the Panel. This includes people with different disabilities or disability types, and different intersecting identities.
In the application, we will ask you about your knowledge of and experience accessing sexual health information and services. You don’t need to have any specific experience to be eligible to apply.
Administration information
The Panel will meet 2-3 times, once in March 2026, once in July 2026, and possibly in August 2026. These timeframes are subject to change.
We meet online over Zoom. Automatic closed captioning and transcripts are provided. A meeting agenda and papers will be provided at least a week before each meeting, and minutes will be shared within 2 weeks after the meetings.
We will do our best to meet other access needs – please let us know what would help you participate.
Panel members are remunerated $250 per session, in the form of an invoice or gift card.

- We’re hiring! LGBTQIA+ Project Coordinator (Identified position)
WWDACT are hiring for our new joint LGBTIQA+ Peer Support Project, run alongside Inclusive Rainbow Voices (IRV). If you’re passionate about supporting LGBTIQA+ people with disability, we’d love to hear from you!
The key focus of this role is to deliver the LGBTIQA+ Peer Support Project, ensuring accessible, safe, and inclusive peer support opportunities for LGBTIQA+ people with disabilities. The program will take place over 3 years, ending in June 2028 and be will be delivered in two key stages: a codesign stage and a delivery stage.
WWDACT and IRV have an established collaborative partnership and both organisations will support the project through the Project Steering Committee.
The objectives of the LGBTIQA+ Peer Support Program are to:
- Increase the sense of belonging and social connection for LGBTIQA+ people with disability.
- Strengthen representation and self-advocacy of LGBTIQA+ people with disability.
- Improve the social and emotional wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ people with disability.
Position details:
- Part Time: 21 hours per/week, Level 5.1 – Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010 ($51.00 per hour)
- Reporting to Engagement Manager, Project Steering Committee
- Based at Women with Disabilities ACT (Pearce Community Centre, Pearce, ACT)
- Remote/WFH available
- All applicants must personally identify as a member of the LGBTIQA+ community and as a person with disability. This position is open to all gender identities.
