WWDACT is an advocacy organisation for women, non-binary and gender diverse people with disabilities.
WWDACT primarily advocates on issues at the intersection of gender and disability.
We focus especially on
- Healthcare and health literacy
- Sexual and reproductive rights
- Gendered violence prevention
- Parenting and raising children
We also work with other organisations in the ACT, and across Australia, on issues that affect all people with disabilities.
These areas include
- NDIS and disability supports
- Education
- Accessibility
- Data collection about people with disabilities
We often work together with Advocacy for Inclusion and ACT Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disability. Together we form the Disability Directed Advocacy Caucus in the ACT.
