Magazine Issue No.1

Chronic Mischief is the culmination of art works and writing through the Our Autonomy workshops and peer events on telling your story, cutout poetry, collage, and crafts. These, combined with submissions from individual members, have been curated to showcase the lived experiences and expression of the women, non-binary and gender-diverse people with disabilities in the Canberra region and surrounds.

This publication provides a space for people to have their works celebrated and stories told and heard. Discussion about us is often describe as a burden, boxed by diagnoses, and allocated to funding categories. This erases the depth of who we are, be that cheeky, sexual, staunch, hot, soft, gentle, asexual, daring, tenacious, or sometimes even well.

Through this magazine we celebrate our talents, experiences, fulfilling lives we lead and our passions. This magazine is where women, non-binary and gender diverse people get to share whatever we would like to share, as we see it.
