WWDACT are hiring for our new joint LGBTIQA+ Peer Support Project, run alongside Inclusive Rainbow Voices (IRV). If you’re passionate about supporting LGBTIQA+ people with disability, we’d love to hear from you!
The key focus of this role is to deliver the LGBTIQA+ Peer Support Project, ensuring accessible, safe, and inclusive peer support opportunities for LGBTIQA+ people with disabilities. The program will take place over 3 years, ending in June 2028 and be will be delivered in two key stages: a codesign stage and a delivery stage.
WWDACT and IRV have an established collaborative partnership and both organisations will support the project through the Project Steering Committee.
The objectives of the LGBTIQA+ Peer Support Program are to:
- Increase the sense of belonging and social connection for LGBTIQA+ people with disability.
- Strengthen representation and self-advocacy of LGBTIQA+ people with disability.
- Improve the social and emotional wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ people with disability.
Position details:
- Part Time: 21 hours per/week, Level 5.1 – Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010 ($51.00 per hour)
- Reporting to Engagement Manager, Project Steering Committee
- Based at Women with Disabilities ACT (Pearce Community Centre, Pearce, ACT)
- Remote/WFH available
