In July 2025, the ACT Government’s Office for LGBTIQA+ Affairs awarded a grant to Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT) and Inclusive Rainbow Voices (IRV) to deliver a program of services for SBLGBTQIA+ people with disability co-designed with the local community.
The broad purpose of the grant is to provide social inclusion, connection and peer support for this cohort, in line with the ACT Government’s broader Capital of Equality Strategy 2024-29.
As part of delivering this program, the project team undertook research, collected data, and learned from others with experience co-designing peer-led programs and services with community.
