Message from the Chair

Dear Members and Colleagues,

A number of WWDACT members, including Board members attended the launch of the latest exhibition at the Canberra Museum and Gallery, ACTIVISM: forces for change in Canberra will run until 2 November this year.

WWDACT has a particular interest in this display because our own Redefining Leadership is also featured as a virtual exhibition. So if you missed Redefining Leadership when it was hanging in the Canberra Centre a few months ago, you can now catch it electronically at CMAG.

ACTIVISM reminds us of what an active community we have been over many decades with proud protests for a better world. Many of the demonstrations featured are local, but the Nation’s Capital is also the place for national and international protest. Women’s rights, marriage equality, the establishment of the tent embassy are just a few of the protests featured.

You have many opportunities over the next 3 months to pop in to CMAG for a coffee with culture.

Regards,
Sue
