Dear Members and colleagues,
I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas break and 2021 is going well for you so far. We have been busy here at WWDACT, welcoming our new CEO Kat Reed to the team, along with a number of new Board Directors who were elected at the AGM on 22 December 2020 and will join our existing and returning Board Directors. I welcome Josephine Janssen, Isabel Moss and LC Yip to the WWDACT Board and extend my thanks to those Board Directors who stepped down in 2020 – your contributions to WWDACT have been invaluable. I am honoured to have been elected Chair at the AGM and am excited for the year ahead.
One of the first projects WWDACT will be involved in for 2021 is a partnership with Gen S Stories and PhotoAccess called Sue’s Legacy: A digital storytelling project which will celebrate our inaugural Chair Sue Salthouse’s impact on our lives and leadership journeys. This project has been made possible through an ACT Government Disability Inclusion Grant.
