The WWDACT Board was saddened last week to hear of the death of fellow WWDACT director, Eun Ju Kim-Baker.
Eun Ju was an accomplished advocate for justice, indigenous rights, gender, sexuality and disability. Eun Ju joined us in 2017, and made a significant contribution to our work.
Eun Ju identified as transgender and used the neutral Mx honorific and they/them pronouns. Their perspective broadened our understanding of the intersection of multiple marginalised identities. This prompted WWDACT to review our language to be more inclusive of gender diversity.
We are grateful to have worked with Eun Ju, and we extend our deepest sympathies to their family and friends.
