    2025 Annual General Meeting

    The Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT) (ABN 74 908 530 982) Annual General Meeting for 2025 will be held on Thursday 6 November from 5:30pm-7pm, via ZoomPlease register for the AGM here

    AGM Documents
    The AGM agenda, financial statements & auditor’s report, proposed constitutional changes, and 2024 AGM minutes can all be downloaded via the Eventbrite event page after you register.

    Board Nominations and Elections
    We have received 2 nominations to fill 4 positions for the WWDACT Board to serve a 2 year term. Our nominations are:

    • Suzanne Gearing
    • Diana Malik

    This means we will have no contested elections this year and all nominees will be confirmed to the Board at the AGM. If you would like to know more about the nominees, they have provided some short bios that are included in the agenda document.

    Constitutional Changes
    This year we have a number of constitution changes to pass. These are to allow organisations to join and support WWDACT as organisational members, and to bring our meeting notice periods inline with the law. The specific details are included in the AGM documents; a summary of the changes and an explanation are in the Agenda, along with a copy of the complete revised constitution. If you would like to read the current constitution, it can be downloaded from our website at https://wwdact.org.au/constitution/.

    Membership
    You must be a member to vote at the AGM. New members are welcome to sign up here, now and on the night.

  • WWDACT Annual General Meeting Notice

    Dear WWDACT Members and Friends,

    The Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT) (ABN 74 908 530 982) Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 6 December from 6:00pm-8:00pm, via Zoom in recognition of the ongoing pandemic. Please RSVP to the AGM here.

    Auslan interpretation will be available, and WWDACT asks attendees to please advise of other accessibility requirements by 29 November close of business.

    Board nominations
    Nominations are now open for the role of two director positions on the WWDACT board. These positions are:

    • 1 x Treasurer full-term position
    • 1 x Ordinary Director full-term position

    Board meetings are held once every 6 weeks and all positions are two-year terms.

    Nominations can be made by completing and emailing this form to ceo@wwdact.org.au by Friday 19 November COB. You must be a Full Member to nominate. You can sign up to be a member at anytime here.

    Board Information Session

    WWDACT is hosting an information session on the 15th November for anyone who might be interested in applying to be on WWDACT’s board this year or in future years.

    Bring your questions, your concerns & your enthusiasm. during this session our Board Chair, Kerry Marshall and members of the current Board will explain the key responsibilities, answer your questions and give you all the information you need to nominate.

    This meeting will be held on Zoom and will be auto-captioned. We are unable to provide Auslan interpreting for this event at this time. Please get in touch at info@wwdact.org.au if you have any access requirements for this meeting.

    Board candidate voting
    Online voting will be administered by ElectionBuddy, and will be open from 23 November until 7pm on the night of the AGM. Information about how to vote will be circulated to members before 23 November, which will also outline online proxy voting options.

  • WWDACT Annual General Meeting Notice

    The Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT) ABN 74 908 530 982 Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 22 December from 5.30-7pm, via Zoom in recognition of the ongoing pandemic.

    Auslan interpretation will be available, and WWDACT asks attendees to please advise of other accessibility requirements by 7 December 2020 COB.

    Board nominations have been extended to COB Wednesday, 9 December. 

    Nominations are now open for the role of four director positions on the WWDACT board. These positions are:

    • 1 x chair full-term position
    • 2 x ordinary director full-term positions
    • 1 x casual vacancy ordinary director, with 1-2 years remaining (current board terms are for 2 years, however the constitutional changes propose moving to a 3 year term).

    Nominations can be made by completing this form: WWDACT Board Nomination Form 2020 and emailing it to ceo@wwdact.org.au by COB Wednesday 9 December.

    Board position voting
    Online voting will be administered by TrueVote, and will be open from 15 December until 6pm on the night of the AGM.

    Information about how to vote will be circulated to members before 15 December, which will also outline online proxy voting options.

    Constitution update
    The proposed amendments to the constitution (which have been provisionally approved by the current Board) are attached. Please find the Constitutional Changes for the WWDACT Constitution here.

    The vote on the proposed changes to the constitution will also be administered through TrueVote’s system.

  • Notice of WWDACT AGM – 29 November 2019

    Dear WWDACT Members,

     

    Notice of Women with Disabilities ACT Annual General Meeting

     

    The Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT) ABN 74 908 530 982 Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday the 29th of November 2019 from 6:30pm to 7pm on level 4 of the Marie Reay Teaching Building, 155 University Ave, Canberra ACT 2601 (within Kambri at ANU).

    The AGM will be preceded from 5pm by a panel discussion on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and how they impact the lives of women and girls with disability in our region, hosted by WWDACT Chair, Sue Salthouse.

    All WWDACT members and community are welcome to attend to hear about the past year and vote on new directors. New members are also welcome to sign up now and on the night!

    Nominations are also open for the role of Treasurer and two general board director positions on the WWDACT board. Nominations can be made at wwdact.org.au using the attached form.

    Attached to this notice are the agenda of the 2019 AGM and minutes of the 2018 AGM.
