WWDACT has made our submission to the 2023/2024 ACT Budget Consultation.
In our submission we called for:
- Funding for prevention of gendered violence
- Funding for Disability Inclusion Advocates at violence crisis services
- Funding for a Disability Liaison Officer at Canberra Health Services
- Funding for affordable, accessible and disability-informed Assisted Reproductive Technology in the ACT
- Funding for full implementation of the Disability and Women’s Strategies
- Implementation of policy priorities given in consultations and submissions throughout the year
We also joined other disability organisations in calling for disability strategies to be backed, government policy capacity to be maintained and for people with disabililties to be supported to engage in consultations across government.
